About Paul Beavis
I studied Graphic Design at Central St. Martins School of Art in the 1990s. After which I worked in children's animation for a number of years. From 1999 onwards I worked as a website designer and creative for the Financial Times and AKQA. In 2002 I started my own web design company but also continued to develop ideas for a children's book. Eventually, after many rejections, in 2014 my first book Mrs Mo’s Monster was published. I now write and illustrate full time. I live in Wellington New Zealand with my wife and young son.
My work has been published with: Hachette, Penguin Random House, Gecko Press, Scholastic, New Frontier Publishing, Little Steps Publishing, Annual Ink, Massey University Press, Lift Education and Write Laugh.
